The Christina Sherwood Academy of Dance will stage a Production every 2 years. These productions are very entertaining to the audience. Christina says “I like to structure the show so that the audience can really enjoy what they are seeing. I am not really a person who will stage a display involving repetitive dances one after the other; I believe there has to be more in it than that. Staging a Production should be a learning experience for the students too. They have to understand Stage Craft and being organized. It is so much fun and I am looking forward to the next one which will be ‘My Fair Lady’ in 2007.
It is professional and fun. Many of the Dads in the audience have told me that they really enjoyed the show and when is the next one!
This is always a compliment to hear because Dads are the hardest to win over and it is great to see them having a good time.
The Productions are not long. In fact if you arrive to see a show at 7.30pm you will be in the theatre a maximum of 2 hours. Then time to go home!
I am really against staging long repetitive shows that involve performing one dance after another. Particularly if the dances have been used through the year in Competitions. You can use some Competition work but not all of it. It should be fresh and new and exciting!

THE TEACHING OF CLASSICAL BALLET AND GIVING TO EACH GENERATION THE SKILLS AND BEAUTY BEHELD ONLY BY THIS ARTFORM
The magnificence, extravagance, colour and formality which originated in the Royal courts of Italy where a maestro made it his passion to begin the chain, like daisies linked together and sewn with an instinctive outcome.
Those who enter this enchanted world can experience a desire for learning.
The natural form of the body altered through the eyes of so many sculptures before them, finely tuned, painted by the artist.
